Great post and contemplations, Maia. I'm writing an essay on the practice of Bhavana and how it helps me, particularly at this time of year. Thanks for sharing.
Maia, I love your focus on the feeling tone of the year. I've had health challenges, but when I think of the feeling tone, I would use the word inspired. Thanks, it's good to see and feel that!
I agree... I really don't even like to use the word "resolution" any more! It feels like such a set up to be disappointed in ourselves, usually like by January 10, lol. Gentle is the way!
Maia, thanks for this. I am going to print this out so I can set aside some dedicated time in the next few days to go through this process. I stopped setting new year's goals a few years ago and really love focusing on intentions for the coming year. I have found much greater success in attaining my goals when I am more aware of and focused on my intention or purpose.
You're welcome, Matthew! Great idea to print this out. Lately I've been appreciating the value of printed materials rather than trying to work off a computer screen. It really does make a difference in the way I relate to a 'task,' which then becomes more of an enjoyable project that I can noodle with in various ways. If you feel that you'd like to share what comes through for you in this process, I'd love to hear about it!

Thank you for writing this. Just what I need for this moment.
This is such a gentler way to do New Year’s resolutions. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Maia. Very helpful. You may have seen from my own post that I am taking a reflective break myself.
Yes, time to rest and recharge.... may it be a nourishing time for you, Dominique!
